In my “Uses and Users of Information” class, everyone has to take a couple of turns at presenting one of our assigned readings to the class. I did my first presentation of the semester last night, and am relieved it’s over! My next one is in a couple of weeks, then I’ll be done with the presentation portion of the grade.
In the mean time, I “magically” became vice-president of our ALA Student Chapter last week, which means there weren’t any other candidates for the position. Maybe it wasn’t exactly “democracy at work,” but I’m glad to do it, and it’s a great group of officers. We’re having our first “executive board” meeting tonight by Google Hangout–what an awesome idea, Tamara!
