Coders for Libraries, Libraries for Coders

A coworker and I had an evaluation conference with one of our library science school interns from UNC SILS this morning, and I was intrigued to learn about a website, conference, and journal called Code4Lib. I’d never heard of it before, so I googled the phrase when I got back to my desk. The website looks intriguing, since it’s a field I’m really interested in (not just libraries, but technology too, and how the two meet).

Because the website and organization deal with technology and coding, I was surprised that a couple of webpages were down, including what’s on the other side of the “Map” link, as well as the wiki for Southeastern Code4lib (which is where I’d fall, geographically).

Still, it’s a website I’ll follow, since I’m eager to learn more!
