Well, I did it, I finished my application for library science school, and it’s submitted! Yay! I did the online application last weekend, and totally revamped my application essay last night. I decided to let the essay simmer overnight, and I made some slight adjustments to it this morning. Then I looked over all of the information one more time, attached my essay, and submitted the grad school application electronically. I was relieved to be able to pay the $40 application fee online too! One less thing, you know?!
This afternoon, during lunch, I hand-delivered my recommendations and official transcripts to the NCCU School of Library and Information Sciences office, which is on the third floor the main campus library. I enjoyed finding the library for the first time. (I stopped in the School of Library & Information Sciences (SLIS) Library too!) It took me a while to find both a parking place AND the campus library, but it was fun to learn a little more about campus while I was at it.
Now it feels a little odd to be able to take a break from this library school application process, since I’ve been thinking about it, talking about it, working on it, for what seems like a long time! Whew!
I wonder how long it’ll take for me to hear.
