On-the-Job Training: eBooks

This morning, I got trained [again] on how to activate eBooks in Serials Solutions, our electronic resource management tool. I’d done a little bit of it before, but this morning I got to practice a lot right after the training session, which helped a lot! I feel like I “get” this piece of the eBook puzzle now, and have already been thinking about the bigger picture (with more questions and a few answers) in terms of processing eBooks. (No barcodes for them!)

Processing eBooks is a new thing for my unit at work, and I’m excited about the training! We still have many, many print books to process, but our eBook numbers are growing like wildfire. I love the crosstraining, so that I can keep my library skills current, and help my colleagues do the same.
