A Unique Staff Development Opportunity

A week ago, I was able to attend an interesting tour of the Duke Research Greenhouse, organized by our Staff Development Committee for interested library employees. Even though it wasn’t directly related to purchasing or processing materials for our users, it was really interesting to see another research/learning facility on campus, and to learn more about a place where some of our patrons to their main research! It was also fun to see the greenhouse area with other library employees from various branches and departments across campus! I’m happy I took advantage of this development opportunity! The photos from the tour are posted here.
